Serving Cypress Homeowners & Contractors
Cypress is one of our busiest delivery areas — our Tomball yard is just 12 miles away and we run deliveries out here daily. With master-planned communities like Bridgeland, Towne Lake, Fairfield, Coles Crossing, Marvida, Blackhorse Ranch, and Cypress Creek Lakes all growing fast, there's no shortage of work out here.
Cypress tends to be more sunny than shaded, which means Bermuda and St. Augustine are both popular choices depending on what look you're going for.
What Grows Best in Cypress
For most Cypress yards — especially in the newer master-planned communities — Raleigh St. Augustine is the most popular choice for an easy, reliable lawn. If you want something with more durability and less water use, TifTuf Bermuda is excellent — it uses 38% less water than standard Bermuda and establishes fast. Celebration Bermuda is great for active families and yards that get heavy foot traffic. For shaded spots under older trees in established neighborhoods, Palmetto St. Augustine is the go-to.
Cypress has a ton of new construction right now — especially in Bridgeland, Marvida, and along the Fry Road corridor. New lots often come with clay subsoil and no topsoil, so we always recommend adding 2–4 inches of Enriched Topsoil before laying sod. We deliver topsoil and sod together in one trip.

About Cypress
Cypress, Texas sits in northwest Harris County and has been one of the fastest-growing communities in the entire Houston metro for the past decade. What was once a quiet suburb has become a thriving collection of master-planned communities, each with their own amenities, trails, and high landscaping standards.
Bridgeland is one of the biggest developments in Cypress — a nearly 12,000-acre master-planned community divided into four villages: Lakeland, Creekland, Prairieland, and Parkland. At full buildout it's expected to have 20,000 homes. Nearby Towne Lake is another standout — a waterfront community centered around a 300-acre recreational lake where homeowners take their landscaping seriously.
Fairfield and Coles Crossing are more established communities with mature trees and a classic suburban feel. These neighborhoods have some shade to work with, making Palmetto St. Augustine a popular choice there. Blackhorse Ranch, Marvida, and Cypress Creek Lakes round out the list of Cypress communities we deliver to regularly.
Cypress soil is typical Houston-area clay — heavy, slow-draining, and compacting. For new construction homes especially, we strongly recommend 2–4 inches of Enriched Topsoil before sodding. Our MicroLife Humates Plus is also a great soil conditioner for breaking up clay over time — ask us about it in store.
Our Tomball yard on FM 2920 is just 12 miles from most of Cypress — we can almost always do same-day delivery. Call us at (281) 259-1661.
