What Grass Works Best in Bryan
Bryan's climate mirrors Houston's — hot summers, occasional freezes, heavy clay soil. Raleigh St. Augustine is our most popular all-around choice. For shaded yards in established neighborhoods, Palmetto St. Augustine or Zeon Zoysia. For open sunny lots and water-conscious homeowners, TifTuf Bermuda.

About Bryan
Bryan, Texas is the county seat of Brazos County and the older of the two cities in the Bryan-College Station metro. While College Station gets most of the national attention thanks to Texas A&M, Bryan has its own distinct character — a blend of historic downtown charm, established neighborhoods, and fast-growing suburban development on its edges.
Austin's Colony is one of Bryan's largest and most established subdivisions, located near the intersection of Hwy 6 and FM 158. It's been growing since 1994 and continues to add new phases. Traditions is a premium golf course community in West Bryan known for its upscale homes and beautiful landscaping — one of the more sought-after addresses in the entire metro. Miramont and Copperfield are other well-regarded neighborhoods that attract families and professionals working in the area.
Bryan's soil is typical Brazos Valley clay — similar to Houston in its density and drainage characteristics. For new construction and bare lots, we recommend 2–4 inches of Enriched Topsoil before laying sod. We deliver topsoil and sod together in one trip.
